We are happy to announce that all three casino properties at Casino Center Blvd. will be open for business this week!  Day and times of reopenings are: (more…)

Written by Chrissy Garner for Travel Tunica

Vegas may be called Sin City, but Tunica’s got 7 sins that will make you ask for forgiveness . . . Down The Road!

    Greed

So, maybe this sin is a give-in for Tunica.  If you’re coming to play slots, throw craps or hit 21, you’re looking to strike it rich here.  Is that really so bad?  We could all use a little extra green in our pockets! (more…)

A friend of mine called last night to ask if I wanted to go to dinner. My first response was no, considering the impending weather. After a few minutes of convincing (her telling me she won a bunch of money at the casino and it was burning a hole in her pocket), I gave in and headed to Fitz Casino Tunica to eat at Don B’s steakhouse. Hollywood Oasis

    Written by Matt Jordan, Lifestyle/Entertainment

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season now over and cabin fever now setting in, I decided to take a mini vacation away from it all for the night. I couldn’t decide where I wanted to go, but I knew I needed a little rest and relaxation, a little fun and maybe a little special treatment would also be nice. I decided I would venture over to Hollywood Casino. It’s a short drive from Memphis and I had not visited the casino yet, so I figured, why not? (more…)

We all know that Tunica is home to some fabulous restaurants at the casinos, but if you’re a true foodie, you know some of the best food is just off the eaten path. If you were to ask the locals in Tunica where to get the best hamburger, more than likely you will hear Sears Street Grocery mentioned. (more…)

Travel Tunica Struck Gold at Chicago Steakhouse

Written by Chrissy Garner for Travel Tunica

While in Tunica, you won’t be lacking for a great dining experience as Lisa & I found out at Gold Strike’s Chicago Steakhouse!  I’m not always a regular patron of our local steakhouses because I most often think that they’re for special occasions, when I am looking to gorge myself on a juicy steak with some great wine.  But sometimes in the middle of the week or when you’re looking to sit at gaming table for a few hours, you want a meal that’s not too heavy. Mmmm. Do you smell that? The smell of a Turkey baking in the oven, bread rising, and pies cooling on the counter.  These are the scents of Thanksgiving, one of my favorite times of the year. Now that I have your tastebuds’ attention, I thought I would share a couple of my favorite recipes to make during the holiday season. (more…)
